Part of the journey to making it in most career fields is to start as an intern. This can be paid or unpaid (if it’s unpaid, though, that’s a huge red flag…) and it helps you gain some experience in the field you want to work in. It’s just the right amount of profession that you get a taste of the culture and tasks, but not so much that you’ll be thrown to the wolves. And if you intern somewhere that does throw you to the wolves and expects you to work as if you’ve been in the field for years, that is another huge waving red flag… Anyways, internships can lead to great things, sometimes even a full time job! That’s right, interns end up getting hired all the time. But how does an intern get hired if most of their duties is getting coffee and just taking notes at meetings? There are many different ways, but one is to do something that impresses the boss.

In the case of this 19-year-old intern, she took matters into her own hand when she noticed the employees around her were struggling with an outdated dashboard. She created her own and gained herself a brand new job! Check it out below!!
